Dharti Foundation transfers monthly a fixed amount per student directly into the accounts of the parent or Guardian. The genuineness of the family is verified by a personal visit before registration. We do a recheck of the progress of the student by personally visiting each school every semester. The organization is aware that part of the funds is going to be used by the family for its household needs .This way we are also supporting their families as they do not have to worry about their school fees or other expenses. Children can continue their education and avoid child labor

Dharti foundation through genuine interaction with these affected families as well as various government offices working in the field is taking up study of the actual causes of the farmer suicides and mechanisms that can prevent such drastic steps. From this analysis , to reduce the burden of chemical pesticides and fertilizers , we decided to promote Organic farming. Through the foundation we are organizing various seminars and presentations to create the awareness of organic farming and certified organic inputs.

• Setting up food processing and other cottage industries that can help process the farm and animal output.  Apart from the above main objectives the foundation can also take up work or service in any of the below mentioned activities.
• Setting up any educational institution ,school college etc. ; organizing sports competitions ,sports training complex and facilities , cultural programs ,competitions for poetry ,essay writing ,drawing , drama . Functions to celebrate nationalism ,taking up programs to propagate the social service and government schemes for social service ,blood donation camps , organ donation camps ,food shelters , conservation of nature ,tree plantation drives ,cleanliness drives.
• Setting up of relief camps in case of natural disaster or riots.
• Mental and spiritual guidance facilities , personality development programs , teacher training and up gradation programs.

 

Farmer Suicides in India has seen an increase over the period of time. The main reasons for this are the growing disparity in the weather conditions, high debts, health issues, personal problems, government policies. DF mainly helps those children whose parents had to commit suicide or have lost the working men due to any accident. Special emphasis and preference is given to the girl child. The reason is that due to social and rural culture there is an inclination of marrying off the girl child before graduation. We identify the bright students after consultation with their teachers and regularly monitoring their progress .Depending on the inclination of the student either academics ,sports ,music ,drawing etc DF has plans to take up additional responsibility in guiding them and supporting them.
